Yandex browser for android is easy to use and offers many useful options for demanding users, in particular the bookmark function, thanks to which you can quickly find saved sites, add new ones, and even import and import.

It has a simple, minimalistic interface, thanks to which the vast majority of the screen is occupied by the page we are viewing.

The app also includes a Turbo feature that compresses data to improve site speed, and thanks to the SmartBox feature, you can enter your search criteria in a dedicated box and a hint system will allow you to quickly find the content you need and correct any spelling errors.

The Yandex browser automatically imports settings (bookmarks, browsing history, and others) and you do not need to worry about viruses - sites are checked by the security system using Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

The application allows you to translate foreign websites and supports nine languages such as English, German, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Russian.

An interesting addition is also colorful widgets that present current information, including weather and traffic jams.

How to add bookmarks to the Yandex browser on an Android phone or tablet

Let's start with the fact that you first need to log into your Yandex account - otherwise you won't be able to add bookmarks, since you will be in incognito mode.

Then, after logging in, open any site that you want to bookmark and click on the vertical ellipsis at the bottom right.

The settings section will open. There you should find the item: "Add to bookmarks" and click on this line.

In this simple way, you can quickly and easily add a bookmark in the Yandex browser for android (see the picture above).

How to find and open bookmarks in Yandex browser android

How to find Yandex browser bookmarks on android? It's not hard to find. All you have to do is click on the square icon.

After that, a small control panel will be displayed at the bottom on a black background - we are interested in the "asterisk" icon.

It's first on the list on the left side. After clicking on it, a section with bookmarks will open.

To open any of the bookmarks, just click on the required one and you can instantly open it (depending on the speed of the Internet and the "weight" of the site) See the image above.

Where are bookmarks stored in Yandex browser for Android

You can find where the bookmarks are stored in the Yandex browser, but you will not see anything there, since they are, as it were, encrypted.

This is a folder in the phone's memory. The path is: “Device memory” -> “Android” -> “data” -> “com.yan…browser”.

Unlike, for example, Internet Explorer, where everything is displayed in an understandable language, here the situation is different.

Perhaps something depends on the version of the application, but at the moment I could not make out anything.

Export and import bookmarks on android

Export and import of bookmarks in the mobile version of the Android browser is different from the computer one.

To import bookmarks, you need to enable "Synchronization" in the settings.

It is also possible through "Bluetooth", "Wifi Direct", "Notes" in "Viber" and other options.

Conclusion

The appearance of the browser is fully consistent with the current minimalist style and there are several interesting points.

When we enter a query, we see not only clues and possible answers, but also search buttons in other search engines. Of course, the default search works, but you can choose another option:

What is displayed in Chrome on a new tab is available on every page in the Yandex browser. The developers have bookmarked the most popular services in advance.

At the same time, some of them work interactively as widgets. The current weather indicator or messages on social networks Facebook or Vkontakte are displayed here. Good luck.

Google Chrome is the most popular browser among PC and Android users. That is why Google developers have thought of a very convenient data synchronization between these platforms. You can easily transfer bookmarks, open tabs, saved passwords and more.

You will need

  • - desktop computer or laptop;
  • - a tablet on the Android platform;
  • - broadband Internet access;
  • - an account in the cloud service.

Instruction

Even before buying on the Android platform, create an account on one of the cloud services. Since Android is being promoted by the American Internet giant Google, it is better to have an account on Google to ensure the most fruitful work with the tablet. To do this, you need to go through a simple registration procedure. Please note that one account allows you to use all Google services, and there are many of them. These are mail, YouTube video hosting, calendar, contacts, web services, including file storage in the cloud, the G+ social network and much more. Be sure to install on your computer and / or browser of the same brand Google Chrom. This will give you many advantages, including in terms of synchronization. Log in to your account using this browser.

Examine the Android tablet you just bought. It can be one of the gadgets from Samsung, IconBit, Prestigio or any other. Connect to the internet on , log in to your Google account - you already created it, remember? Install, if it is not included in the package of pre-installed programs, the Chrom browser already familiar from the desktop. To do this, you need to make a single tap on the GooglePlay icon (Google app store for Android), find free Chrome there and install it. Installation is simple and takes no more than a few minutes. Occurs without the participation of the user, in a fully automatic mode.

Launch Chrom on your tablet and log into your Google account. If you managed to save any bookmarks on the computer in the same browser, they will immediately appear in the Chrom browser installed on the tablet. This is a sign that synchronization has taken place. Now tablet bookmarks will be available on the computer and vice versa. When using multiple devices, synchronization will affect each of them.

Not only computer and tablet browser bookmarks are successfully synchronized, but also calendar entries (there is a special application), contacts, tasks, mail and much more. To do this, go to the tablet settings, find your account and perform synchronization. Everything, as you can see, is not at all difficult.

If you have an Android smartphone in addition to a computer and tablet, using the capabilities of a Google account becomes even more interesting. Save your contacts not in the phone's memory, and even more so not on the SIM card, but in your Google account. In this case, even a breakdown of the phone or its theft will not lead to the loss of contacts. Just in the new smartphone on Android, it will be enough to log into your account, and the contacts will appear in it by themselves. And you can work with them by logging into your account, in the "Contacts" section. Here you can create new contacts, edit existing ones - set a picture for each of them, specify additional data such as a physical address and email address, additional phone numbers, place of work, position and much more. All this will automatically appear in the contacts of the smartphone.

Of particular interest is the use of Google cloud services. This is an automatic upload of photos taken with a smartphone or tablet camera, access to them from anywhere, from any of your devices, their processing with a photo editor available in the service, and much more. You can even use Google's amazing suite of web applications that let you create and edit office documents and share them with other users to collaborate on them.

No bookmarks, no saved passwords from the old one, and that's understandable.
What to do in this case? You can read an article that describes how you can save all data from one browser and transfer it to another.

But what if you only need bookmarks? It seems that this is the main thing (after saved passwords) that I would like to see in the new browser. And bookmarks can be transferred in several ways.

1) Manually transfer the file with bookmarks from one folder to another. The method is extreme and may not work. Just for reference and I think it will be interesting to know.
All bookmarks are saved in the Windows system folder (as well as other necessary files of all programs) and it is called AppData ().
To get into it, you can immediately enter in the address bar of the explorer

%USERPROFILE%\AppData

and get into it.

Here look for the folder with your browser. It is similar in name.
For example, in Opera this path is: AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable
In Comodo Dragon: AppData\Local\Comodo\Dragon\User Data\Default
In Mozilla Firefox: AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(profile.name)

I think the meaning is clear. In all these folders, you need to find the Bookmarks file, which just stores all the bookmarks. All you need to do is move it to the same folder of another browser and replace it with the one that is there.

I haven't used this method, but I think it might work.

2) Another manual (and this time proven and effective) way is to simply drag (or copy) bookmarks directly from one browser to another.
For example, you want to transfer bookmarks from Opera to Mozilla Firefox. You open bookmarks in Opera first:

Then

and then bookmarks in Mozilla:

or

So that in the end there was a window with them open

just like in the opera.

Now it remains only to select all (by pressing the key combination Ctrl + A or highlighting with the mouse cursor) or select only some (hold down the Ctrl key and press the left mouse button on the desired ones), and then copy them (RMB on the selected -> "Copy" or a keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C ) and paste into another browser bookmarks window (also RMB anywhere -> "Paste" or keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V ).
If you find it difficult to copy and paste like this, then you can simply select the desired (or all) bookmarks, and then simply drag them into the bookmarks window of another browser. Just like you work with regular folders or files in Windows Explorer.

3) The next way is the standard ability of browsers to import and export bookmarks.
Import is loading a bookmark file, and Export, respectively, is unloading from the browser.

The Mozilla Firefox import is in the same library that can be opened as in the second method above, or by pressing the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + B .
In this window, select "Import and backups" and export the file to any place convenient for you:

Accordingly, to add bookmarks from another browser to Mozilla, select "Import bookmarks from an HTML file" in this drop-down menu

There is no such standard way in Opera and therefore it is best to use a special extension called Bookmarks Import & Export and you can add it on the page

After installation, the extension icon will appear at the top right

You just need to click on it and you will go to a simple page

Here you need to click on the EXPORT -> button and the bookmarks are immediately saved in the Bookmarks.html file
Accordingly, in order to import (load) bookmarks, you must first select a file with bookmarks by clicking the appropriate button, and then click on IMPORT.

In Google Chrome and browsers based on it (Iron, Yandex browser, Amigo, Comodo Dragon, etc.), you need to enter the Bookmark Manager (either select through the menu, or by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + O, or by entering in the address bar chrome://bookmarks/ ) and there click on the "Manage" link and select "Export bookmarks to HTML file..."

To load other bookmarks into this browser, select the item next to "Import bookmarks to HTML file ...", select the file and add.

4) And of course, this popular topic has not bypassed software developers. There is a special utility called Transmute

The Standard version is free and is suitable for transferring bookmarks from one browser to another. At the bottom there are links for the installation file and portable (does not require installation)
