Appearance
The monoblock turned out to be neat and pretty. The case is gray, so it is equally well combined with the classic image of a business person and the rhythm of the life of a young user. The base light gray plastic shell is diluted with darker inserts on the front and back.
In the first case, it will be a keyboard block, and in the second, it will be an aluminum part that is fixed in a removable cover.
Dimensions 119.2x49.7x12.9 mm, weight 91 g. The case is relatively thick compared to touchscreen phones. However, for a monoblock with buttons, these are normal parameters, and there is no question of any excessive bulkiness here.
The phone has a good weight distribution, thanks to it and well-thought-out ergonomics, it lies well in the hand. It fits well in the pockets of clothes, it is convenient with him.
At the top there is a speaker hole, which is located under a plastic insert with numerous holes.
At the top end of the phone there is a standard 3.5 mm jack, to which any headphones are connected. The microUSB port is located in the center. It is protected by a sliding plug from dust and small debris. This is a simple and reliable design.
On the left side there is a volume rocker. It has a comfortable relief, it is easy to grope and press with little effort and clearly works. There is also a hole for attaching the strap.
On the right, there is a dedicated key for shooting a fairly large size.
There is a microphone at the bottom.
The back cover has a rather original design. It combines a plastic base, which is almost completely covered with an aluminum insert. Such a surface looks beautiful, and just holding the device in your hand will be very pleasant.
The panel is held tightly, there is not the slightest backlash or creaking. It is worth mentioning the overall build quality, which is worthy of the highest praise.
The camera lens is located in the center, next to them are the slots of the speaker. On the other side is the flash.
Sliding the cover down, you can see the hole for the memory card. Under the battery is a SIM card slot.
Keyboard
The monoblock received the usual layout of the controls. They consist of a pair of soft keys and call accept and end buttons. The elements are located on the insert, which is divided into two parts. The buttons have a small and clear stroke, they are pressed with a soft mechanical click. There is enough free space between them to exclude false positives.
In the center is a four-position navigation key. It is made in the form of a square with slightly beveled corners. The central part turns out to be slightly recessed due to small sides, which are made of silvery plastic and border it.
Below is the keyboard block, which traditionally consists of 12 keys: 3 buttons on each row. Like the navigation block, these elements are made in the form of plates, which are separated from each other by small horizontal slots. They help you navigate between lines with buttons when typing blindly.
The buttons are convenient to use, although initially they may not seem like the best solution. They are large, softly pressed, they have a moderate stroke. The symbols are printed in white: both Cyrillic and Latin, and numbers of the same color. They are perfectly visible in any conditions due to the contrasting black background. The phone is perfect for those who type a lot of messages.
Screen
The on-screen displays are as follows: TFT-display has a diagonal of 2.4 inches, displays up to 262 thousand colors, resolution is 240x320 pixels.
The screen implements several levels of brightness adjustment, which allow you to choose the optimal backlight level.
On the street, the image fades, but remains readable. Under the bright sun, the data is problematic to see.
The screen quality is clearly not one of the strengths of the model. The viewing angles are small, the colors of the pictures are noticeably distorted, one has only to slightly turn the phone on its side.
Interface
The display shows a variety of service information. The user customizes the desktop at his discretion, a lot of possibilities are offered. You can move the clock around or remove it completely, there are a number of application icons that can be activated without going to the menu, which is convenient. There can be 15 such applications, they are set at your discretion. For example, you can display a calendar on your desktop, display the time in two time zones, display data on missed calls, unread messages, and much other useful information.
Menu S5610 modified with the help of pre-installed themes, there are 3 in total. How to install others is not very clear. Most likely, you will have to use only this set. Moving by phone can be accompanied by animation effects. A picture is set for the desktop design, a font style is selected in the menu and when dialing a phone number.
Up to 18 contact shortcuts can be present on the desktop, each can be assigned a picture for clarity, part of the name is also displayed, but not completely. By selecting a contact, you can see if there were new messages or calls from him, as well as make a call, write an SMS message or email. From here you can also add new data to a contact or view current information about him. If you wish, you can remove all the additional information displayed if you prefer a concise design style. Soft keys (the left button opens the "Menu", the right button "Contacts") cannot be reassigned to other functions. The menu is navigated using the number keys. Actions are assigned to joystick deflections in all four directions.
The menu consists of 12 icons, 3x4. You cannot change their places. Navigation using number keys throughout the menu works. I really liked that the phone remembers the last item on which the user stopped. You can exit to the desktop, log in again, the cursor will be placed on the section where the user was before, if you enter it after that, it will be in the same place.
Phone book
When you open contacts, you will see 3 categories. The first is the contacts themselves, which are stored both in the phone’s memory and on the SIM card, which can be stored in up to 1000. The other is groups that you can create yourself by adding up to 20 contacts to each, and also assign a melody to the combined to one category of subscribers. And the last one is a generated list of favorite contacts (of which there can be no more than 18), which are also displayed on the desktop if such a function is enabled in the settings. The list of numbers is sorted by first or last name. The phone is able to display the numbers that are stored in its memory or on the SIM card, both together and separately.
Each contact can be assigned 5 numbers, as well as select the type: mobile, landline, car phone, fax). From the additional data, several email addresses are indicated, send a contact to a group, set a birthday date (it will be displayed in the calendar), as well as add a text note and other information.
To the recorded names in the phone book, you can add a ringtone, a picture, both from pre-installed ones, and among those manually added to the phone's memory or to a flash card. In contacts there is a function to search for a subscriber by first letters. There is a speed dial function of 18 numbers.
Call log
The call log consists of several categories: all, missed, dialed numbers, received calls, sent messages, received messages. Messages
This section contains SMS and MMS. GT-S5610 has a memory for 300 messages, and the capabilities of a SIM card can be additionally used. As such, there is no division between SMS and MMS: by adding a picture, a melody or a long text to a simple text message, you turn it into a multimedia message. There is a snooze function: if the message has not been read by the owner of the phone, then the device can beep after a certain period of time (after 2.5 or 10 minutes). There is T9, which helps with typing, also displays new words that have been added by the user.
Messages are grouped both in the form of dialogs and displayed in one shared folder. When sending messages, the phone offers not only the addressees from the phone book, but also the numbers used earlier in the correspondence. Unwanted recipients can be blocked, messages received from them will be automatically added to the spam folder, from where they can then be deleted. The input language is changed through the submenu.
To check e-mail, the built-in client required for this purpose is configured. You can enter several accounts, the built-in application will help you set up mailboxes on such popular resources as Google, Yahoo, Windows Live. Creating a mailbox from the popular Mail.ru did not cause any difficulties. Mail can be viewed as a general list, and individually examine the contents of different boxes. As with SMS, you can scale the font. IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, SSL, TLS are supported.
In phone Samsung GT-S5610 you can set automatic synchronization by setting the desired fixed time period (from 30 minutes to 1 day), set the maximum size of the downloaded letter (from 100 kb to 5 mb), as well as the number of e-mail messages uploaded to the phone's memory. The viewing time is adjusted, auxiliary icons are turned off. In the camera settings, you can set the location for saving pictures (phone memory or card). There is also a feature that allows you to use keys to quickly change settings.
At the time of publication, it was in the region of 4,500 rubles. And for the money, the phone offers a fairly good picture quality. There is blurring at the edges of the frame. I am pleased with adequate color reproduction and the possibility of macro photography.
Video recording options are quite simple. The maximum resolution is 320x240 pixels, 30 frames per second. There is a lower quality mode, as well as a number of settings.

Mp3 player
The phone supports playback of songs from a memory card, the A2DP profile is supported, with which you can listen to music on wireless headphones. Radio

The display diagonal is only 2.4 inches, but for a push-button phone, this is a normal figure. is 240 x 320, it is capable of displaying 262,000 different colors.
